Detroit's Own Orthodox Radio (DOOR) promotes the Orthodox Christian Faith, connects communities and faithful, educates on traditional and modern day issues, and entertains the listening public across the Metropolitan Detroit region.

Thanks to the initiative of several individuals working under the auspices of The Council of Orthodox Christian Churches of Metropolitan Detroit (COCC), a plan to bring an Orthodox Christian radio broadcast back the Detroit area was presented to the Council and received its full endorsement, as well as the funds for its development and sustainment.  The first show was broadcast on Pentecost Sunday, 31 May 2015.

Both Metropolitan Nicholas of The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Detroit and Archbishop Nathaniel of Detroit and The Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America have endorsed and given their blessing to this project.

We invite you to join us as we learn about our Orthodox Faith and the good works Orthodox Christians are doing in our area, as well as share our message with our community and the world....the DOOR is open!

    Announcements

  • It is with great sadness, but hope in the Resurrection that we announce the falling asleep in the Lord of James Badeen. For more than 220 consecutive weeks, beginning on Pentecost Sunday 2015, Jim hosted (as well as produced/engineered) DOOR. It was truly a labor of love as he not only performed this missionary effort with great enthusiasm, but also took great personal interest and joy in interviewing a wide variety of Orthodox Christian scholars, clergy and community leaders. May his memory be eternal! [click here]
